Our local Veteran Affairs Office is located at 1715 Lansing Avenue, Jackson, MI 49202.  When a family is looking to work with our local office some items maybe required from the family to apply for benefits. Those items include:

Items of the deceased needed:                                                                                               

• Death Certificate stamped for Government use only                                                                                             
• Discharge Papers or DD-214
• Social Security Number
• Birth Certificate

Items of the Spouse or Next of Kin:

• Social Security Number
• Birth Certificate
• Marriage Certificate
• Driver's License
