Of Munith, MI went home to be with his Lord on Monday, June 17, 2019 at Henry Ford Allegiance Health at the age of 53. He was the son of William and Jeanie (Wheeler) Richmond, born July 13, 1965 in Jackson, MI. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Karla (Powers); two sons, Trey William Richmond and Andrew William Richmond; his father, William Richmond.; two brothers, John (Dannielle) Richmond, David (Stephanie) Richmond; numerous aunts and uncles; special aunt, Sue Van Eyck; seven nieces and nephews, Chelsey, Cameron, Collin, Taylor, Hunter, Evan, and Austin; and many special friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Marilyn Jeanie Richmond. Bill was a graduate of Northwest High School and the University of Michigan where he received a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree. He started his working career at the University of Louisville in the Athletic Department, then to the Paul Revere Life Insurance Company in the Detroit area, and then a wonderful loving stay at home Dad. Bill was a member of Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church and the Jackson Western Horsemen’s Club. He loved his boys, their school sports and band activities, and all the U of M Sports. Bill’s family and wonderful friends were a huge part of his life. He was loved by many and will be sadly missed by all who knew him. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church on Monday, June 24, 2019 at 11:00am; Father Timothy MacDonald officiating. Interment at St. John Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Watson Funeral Chapel on Sunday, June 23, 2019 from 1:00-5:00pm with a Rosary at 4:30pm. Prayer service on Monday at Watson Funeral Chapel at 10:00am followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at the church.
