William L Trapp, Sr.

William Leonard Trapp, Age 94, of Jackson, Michigan passed away on December 5, 2025 under the care of Hospice, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born April 10, 1931, in Jackson, Michigan to Leonard and Hilda (Wilcox) Trapp. 

William was a proud veteran with the Army Infantry from February 27, 1952 until November 26, 1953.  During his service, he received the National Defense Service Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, Korean Service Medal, Two-Bronze Service Stars, and the United Nations Service Medal. 

William was married to Marlene (Evans) for 40 years until her passing on October 28, 2002.  He worked with the Michigan Department of Corrections and retired after 35 years of service. 

William loved hunting, fishing, gardening and firearm competitions and will be missed greatly by his family and friends. 

Memorial donations can be made in his honor to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
