William Victor Glance

Bill went home to be with the Lord at his home Sunday, December 29, 2024.  Bill was the son of Victor and Verna (Murphy) Glance born November 21, 1926 in Saginaw, MI. 

Bill is survived by his 2 children, Michael W. (Sharon) Glance and Charyl L. Glance – Wozniak; 4 grandchildren, Cindy L. Wheeler, Michelle M. (Ray) Rivera – Perez, Michael C. Glance, and Sean D. (Kirsten) Wozniak; numerous great and great-great grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.  Bill was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Evelyn Phyllis Glance in 2014; his parents; and brother and sister-in-law, Jack & Hannah Glance.

Bill was a U.S. Army veteran serving in WW II.  He began his 35-year career as a sales agent and later general agent and co-owner of Glance - Ogle - Folk AAA Agency.  He was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ.  He and his wife belonged to several dance clubs over many years; and The German-American Club.  He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing, hunting, and shooting.  Bill along with family members, built in 1955, the home where he lived until his passing on Sunday.  Most of all, Bill loved spending time with his children and especially his grandchildren.

A celebration of Bill’s Life will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, Jan.6, 2025 at Watson Funeral Chapel, 2590 Spring Arbor Road, Jackson with Pastor Judy Goodrow officiating.  Interment Hillcrest Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. Monday at the chapel.  For those wishing, contributions may be made to Jackson County Animal Shelter in memory of Bill.  Please express your condolences to the family at www.watson-funeral-chapels.com.
