William Curtis Obituary

William E. Curtis passed away at home, May 5, 2022 at the age of 87 years. Born January 27, 1935 the son of Amos C. and Minnie Belle (O’Neil) Curtis. William will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Ethel (Stewart) of 60 years, married June 1, 1962; one son, Jay William; one daughter Jill Ann McClear, deceased Aug. 9, 2015. Deceased brothers, Hank, Chuck, Elton, Bob and sisters Margaret Wahl and Mary Hamilton.

Surviving relatives two grandsons, Travis and Tyler McClear, grandpa loved to baby sit them, sisters-in-law Pat and Paula Curtis; sister-in-law Norie and Wendel Nealy; brother-in-law Ray and Sharon Stewart; and many nieces and nephews.

Bill loved to travel, and he was a collector of fire truck and truck pictures which brother, Dave supplies him with a lot. Bill was a volunteer firefighter for 2 years in Manchester, MI, served in U.S. Army 2 years, member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, and enjoyed antique and steam engine shows.

Cremation has taken place. Interment at Roseland Memorial Gardens at a later date.
