Obituary
Thomas Paul Rice, age 73 of Jackson, MI, passed away April 12, 2023, under Hospice Care with his loving family in attendance. Tom was born January 19, 1950 in Ishpeming, MI. Preceeding Tom, were his loving parents, Donald (Elaine Johnson) Rice and brother Donald. He leaves behind his loving wife Sally (Shaughnessy) Rice of 34 yrs; children Jason (Sherry Franti) grandchildren Summer and Jackson; and Jonathon (Angela White) grandchildren Trevor, Addison and Brady; siblings Bill (Patti) Rice; Nancy (Frank) Misale; and Patti (Ricky)Stewart.
Tom was a member of Blue Notes in the Upper Peninsula during his high school years. He was an Air Force Sergeant during the Vietnam era. He retired from McLaren Hospital as a Microbiologist. Tom enjoyed his family, travel, all outdoor activities and holidays.
According to his request, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held in Jackson and in Watton MI. Dates to be announced.
