Obituary

Thomas Leon Bowman, (81), of Jackson, Michigan, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2023.

Tom was born to Leon and Virginia Bowman on March 1, 1942. A lifelong resident of Columbus, Ohio, Tom was a graduate of Hilliard High School. An avid outdoorsman and sports enthusiast, Tom enjoyed being in the outdoors and attending sporting events.

Tom is survived by his sons Tom (Heather) and Ben (Jen);Brothers, Frank (Deanna) and Joe, and sister Debbie Jones(Bruce). Tom was also survived in life by his 10 grandchildren:Cory (Caitlynn), Roman, Ashley, Teddi Gabe, Eli, Maddy, Haddon, Charley and great-granddaughter, Magnolia. Tom was predeceased by his beloved son, Tim and sister, Rachel Hess (Robert).

“Not a summer goes by without recalling the feel of fresh cut grass on my bare feet and the joy of fielding the thousands of towering fly balls that you sent sailing with that old fungo bat. For those memories and many others, I will miss you forever. Rest in peace.”-Tommy.

The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Jackson County Medical Care Facility for their loving and attentive care over the past year.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be scheduled this Fall in Columbus, Ohio at a time convenient for the family.
