Theresa Rose Trudell

Theresa Rose Trudell (nee Bauer), age 88, of Ocklawaha, Florida passed away at her home surrounded by family on January 9, 2021. She was born July 15, 1932, the daughter of the late Helen Magdalene Bauer and Alphonsus Joseph Bauer. Theresa was a native of Brooklyn, Michigan before moving to Ocklawaha, Florida from Devil’s Elbow, Missouri in 1994. Theresa was married in 1956 to John Alfred Trudell II, her high school sweetheart, for 64 years and enjoyed working in her gardens, baking, and spending time with her family. She will always be remembered for her selfless service to others. She worked as a nurse since her graduation in 1956 and her love was pediatrics and geriatrics.  She was a full-time mom and together with her husband raised seven children. She was an Army bride and moved approximately every three years.

Theresa is survived by her loving husband, John Alfred Trudell II, their children: Helen Croslin (husband Terry), Mary Mullins, Rose Cobb (husband George), John Alfred Trudell III (wife Angela), Stephen Trudell, Joseph Trudell, Dominic Trudell (wife Connie); their 21 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren (and counting), and her 2 sisters Mary Wallace and Bernadette Dahlberg.  She is preceded in death by her parents and 11 brothers and sisters.

A graveside service for Theresa will be held at 2:00 PM at St. John’s Cemetery in Jackson on January 25, 2021. Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM on January 24, 2021 at Watson Funeral Chapel (2590 Spring Arbor Road, Jackson, MI 49203).
