Susan L Pelton

Pelton, Susan L. passed away June 28, 2024, at the age of 72 after a brief, courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her daughter Whitney (Drake) Dunigan, two grandchildren; Oliver and Nora, one sister Sharon (David) Dunigan, two nephews; Joe (Courtney) and Jason (Brooke) Dunigan and six great-nieces and nephews. Special friends Cheryl and Heidi. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, William Herman and Joyce Taylor.  

Sue graduated from Jackson High School, Class of 1970. She dedicated many years to her work at Foxfire Apartments. In her leisure time, she found joy in puzzles and gardening. Sue was known for her kindness, thoughtfulness, generosity, selflessness, and boundless love. She treasured her roles as "Meemaw" and "Aunt Susie”, always beaming with pride when speaking about all her beloved babies. 

Her family extends their heartfelt gratitude to her doctors and nurses at Henry Ford Allegiance Health of Jackson. With an extra special thanks to Dr. Usama Assaad and Amy. The entire team on 6T was exceptional, we thank you. Additionally, to Dr. Malcom Trimble and Sydney Irwin for their unwavering care and support. 

Sue is at the Watson Funeral Chapel where services will be held Tuesday July 9, 2024 at 1:00pm. Father Tim MacDonald officiating.

Visitation Monday July 8, 2024 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm and Tuesday July 9, from 12:00pm until the time of service at the funeral home.
