Susan Kay (Moats) Hart of Jackson, MI went home to be with her Lord surrounded by family on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at the age of 71. She was the daughter of Roy and Roxie (Williams) Moats, born October 19, 1948 in Jackson, MI. Susan is survived by her children, Roxann (Eric) Wagner and John William (Brianna Moore) Hart, Jr.; grandchildren, Taylor Sue and A.J. Wagner, Jaelin Rider, and soon to be grandson, Ben-Joseph John Hart; sister, Sharon Nethercott; brother, Dennis Moats; one niece; and several nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother-in-law, Bruce Nethercott; and sister-in-law, Cherie Moats.
Susan was a graduate of Northwest High School. Later in life she attended Jackson Community College to become a Registered Nurse. Susan worked at Foote Hospital (now Henry Ford Allegiance Health). She was a member of Northwest Baptist Church. Susan loved to sew dresses for the shoebox ministry through Northwest Baptist Church. She enjoyed playing on her computer, canning fruits and vegetables during the summer, spending time with her family, and the adventures with her sister Sharon.
According to her wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2020 at 1:00pm with visitation beginning one hour before the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Northwest Baptist Church, 7600 Lansing Ave., Jackson, MI 49201 in support of the Shoebox Ministry.
