Stephen Joseph Smak

Smak, Stephen J., Jr., of Jackson, passed away March 25, 2026 age 82 years.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Frances, one brother and two sisters.  Surviving are one son Steve Smak, two daughters; Margaret (Steven) Bell and Christine Smak, two granddaughters; Mataya and Calista Konopacki.  He served in the U.S. Coast Guard, retired from the U.S. Postal service after many years of service andwas a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed golfing and cooking but especially spending quality time with his granddaughters.  Mr. Smak was a dedicated member of Queen of the Miraculous Medal Church where Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday March 31, 2026 at 11:00am Father Timothy MacDonald Officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 10:00am until the time of Mass.
