Stephen Fisher

Stephen Lincoln Fisher, 78, of Jackson, Michigan, went to be home with the Lord on January 24, 2025. He was the son of Robert and Ruth Fisher. He was born in Jackson, MI on September 16, 1946. He is survived by his niece, Katie Cataline (Sean McCully), nephew, Trevor Brusseau, and his great niece, Ireland Cataline, and great nephew, Bowen McCully. Stephen is preceded in death by his parents, Robert & Ruth Fisher, and his sister, Cheryl Brusseau.

Stephen enjoyed the summer breeze on his porch swing. He loved a good blanket and Jeopardy! He found enjoyment on a van ride to get ice cream, had a big love for Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups (don’t we all?) and loved, loved, LOVED music.

Stephen lived with severe Autism, and throughout his life, he faced a lot of adversity. Through it all, he taught us about empathy and compassion. He taught us to find beauty in each day and find happiness in life’s smallest moments. Stephen showed us how important it is to be kind to everyone and imagine what it would be like to walk in their shoes. Stephen’s legacy will continue to live on as we remember him and remember that every day is a gift. 

A very special thank you to the staff at his assisted living home, Twin Maples, and his social worker, Jennifer Marsh. Additionally, we would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Allegiance Health & the Hospice Care team for their tireless care.

Stephen’s family will celebrate his life with a private ceremony. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Cascades Humane Society or the Jackson Animal Shelter.
