Shirley Ann Hines,

Of Jackson, Michigan went home to be with our Lord on August 23rd,  2023. She was the daughter of Leo and Opal Thomas of Cincinnati, Ohio. She is survived by her spouse of 63 years, Reverend Jeffery L Hines, and  their children Dean Edward (Carrie), Vincent Jay (Lude), Laura Lee, Paul David (Jittuana), and Mary Wright.

She had 17 grandchildren, and 30 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by both of her parents, and brothers, Raymond Lee Thomas of St Petersburg Florida, James Edward Thomas of Treasure Island, Florida, and two nephews.

She loved sewing and crafting, and enjoyed her exotic birds, Stein and Tarzan. She loved spending time with her Sheltie, Candy Cane. Shirley loved her family and enjoyed spending family time together. Her favorite holiday was Christmas and she loved snow.

Celebration of Life services will be held at Watson Funeral Chapel, 2590 Spring Arbor Road, Jackson, MI on Tuesday, August 29th, 2023 at 11 a.m. Dr Jay Hines, Shirley’s son, will be officiating.

Visitation will be held Monday, August 28, 2023 from 4 to 7 p.m.at Watson Funeral Chapel, Spring Arbor Road, Jackson. Interment will be held at Woodland Cemetery in Jackson. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the American Heart Association.
