Scott Alan Miller

It is with deep sadness that the family announce the passing of Scott Miller. On April 28th, 2020. Scott passed in his sleep at the age of 55.

Scott was born October 13th, 1964 to Robert Miller and Sherry Jacobs (Youmans) of Jackson Michigan. He grew up with one brother Steve Miller. He married Vicki Miller (Rickman) in the Spring of 1988 and had 3 beautiful daughters Jessica Kelly, Jamie Castle and Jennifer Miller. He was very close with Holly Washburn who was like another daughter to him. His niece Nicole Powell along with her family Rob, Ashlyn and Kayla were a big part of his life. Scott had many many friends, and never hesitated to strike up a conversation with a stranger.

In his free time Scott loved fishing with his wife, boat rides, car shows, cruises in his 1979 Z28 Camaro, fixing anything he could get his hands on, and loved his animals especially his Yorkshire Terrier Casey Jo. 

He was a family man, and every spare minute was spent with his wife, children, sons-in-law (Nick Kelly and Jacob Castle) and his in-laws (Paul and Barb Rickman). Scott loved talking about cars with his Uncle Bill in Texas, and he would hangout frequently with his best friend from childhood Chuck Janes, and Chuck’s sons Larry and Billy. 

Every year he took his family on a week long trip to his favorite place which was Outer Banks, North Carolina. There he loved to fish, swim, walk the beach and celebrate his birthdays on the oceanside with his family. He has left behind a million priceless memories with his wife and daughters, he will be dearly missed.

A celebration of his life will be held at the Spring Life Wesleyan Church, 9421 Benn Rd., Parma, MI 49269 on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at 2:00pm with Pastor Michael Cary officiating.
