Scott G. Harness

Scott G. Harness, 74, of Jackson, Mich, passed away June 16, 2021 at Henry Ford Hospital.

He was the son of Jerry and Barbara Harness born in Detroit, Mich.

Scott was survived by his wife Sharon of 48 years of marriage; children: Tara (Joe), Bret (Julie), Scott (Jamie), and Nicole (John); grandchildren: Joshua, Nicholas, Keegan, Amanda, Lucas, Chelsea, Madison and Aubrey; great-grandchildren: Oliver and Myles; sister, Sue Park, her sons Scott, Daniel and Adam; and Special family: Grace, Hannah, Fran and Mike Shutler, Sandy Phelps.

Scott graduated from Parkside High School in 1965 and then Michigan State University.  He worked several years at Aeroquip and then opened his own business: Mid-Michigan Laser and enjoyed his work there until retirement.

Scott had been an avid golfer, fisherman, stamp collector.  He enjoyed his family and “High School Buddies” Dean, Bob, Tom, Kim, Phil and friends met through the years at West Point Lounge.
