Sarah Russell Obituary

Sarah Anne Russell, age 79, passed away Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Henry Ford Allegiance Health. She was the daughter of Mary B. James, born on May 12, 1942 in Toledo, Ohio. Sarah is survived by her two children Patrick (Bethany) Russell of Tecumseh and Kristine (Russell) Johnson of Jackson, three granddaughters Ashley, Kailey and Mackenzie, one great grandson Theo, along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Aside from her mother she is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Russell, her sister MaryAnne (Horst) Kent and son-in-law Brad Johnson.

Sarah graduated from Libbey High School where she fell in love with Raymond Russell, her high school sweetheart and husband of 60 years. They moved to Michigan where she later became a cook “Ma Sarah” for 25 years with Boysville of Michigan and retired with her beloved husband. She was a cherished mother, wife, sister, grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend to many. She loved being a grandmother and baking with her granddaughter. Ma will be greatly missed.

According to her request, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will not be taking place at this time.
