Sally Wurst Obituary

Sally Sue Wurst of Springport, passed away December 6, 2021 age 79 years.  She is survived by her daughter Deanna (Todd) Mead and one son David (Linn) Wurst, all of Springport. Seven grandchildren; Nathaniel Mead, Sarah (Kyler) Rilett, Faith (Trenton) Piepkow, Isaac Mead, Noah Mead, Benjamin Mead and Alexandria Wurst, three great-grandchildren, one brother Larry (DeRonda) Alexander of Muncie, IN, her sister-in-law Helen Alexander, many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Dorothy Alexander and one brother Jack Alexander.  Mrs. Wurst retired from Springport Schools where she taught Kindergarten for Forty years, she also coached volleyball, cheerleading, basketball and track for several years. She was a devoted mom, grandma “Nanny” and loved spending time with her family and enjoyed gardening.  Mrs. Wurst is at the Watson Funeral Chapel 2590 Spring Arbor Rd. in Jackson, where services will be held at on Friday, December, 10, 2021 at 12:00pm. Interment Clarence Twp. Cemetery. Rev. Dr. Max Hayden officiating.  The family will receive friends for visitation Friday from 10:00am until the time of service.  Those who wish may make contributions to their charity of choice.
