RuthAnn Wheeler

Ruth Ann Wheeler (Kinch), 85, passed away on April 30,2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Ruth Ann was born on June 29, 1939, in Leslie, MI to Kendall and Ruth Wheeler.

She graduated from Leslie High School. She married her high school sweetheart, Dean Kinch and together they had five children. Ruth Ann held many server positions in area restaurants for 50+ years, including Win Schuler’s (where her love of acting came alive!), Gilberts, and Bickersons to name a few.

She had a zest for life, always ready to plan the next “Hoorah”. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ruth Ann was quite the artist with her painting and sewing talents, making beautiful purses, bags, blankets and anything else she could conjure up. She was a loving sister, aunt, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Ruth Ann will be greatly missed by her sons, Tod and Mike (Randi); her daughters Michelle (JP) and Maria (Mark), her grandchildren, great grandchildren, brothers Ken (Pat), Dennis (Phyllis), Phil (Bridgett), Jim Henley, Teri Wheeler and many nieces, nephews and many dear friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Kendall and Ruth; siblings Janene and Joe; daughter Teresa and grandson Ryan.

According to her request, cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations can be given to the family to help with final expenses.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, May 16th at Michigan Center Eagles starting at 4:00pm
