Ruth Cochran Obituary

87, of Clarklake, MI passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 in her Venice, FL home. She was the daughter of Howard and Vena Lemons born on March 1, 1933 in Hudson, MI. Ruth is survived by her husband of 65 years, Richard Cochran: their three children, Robyn (Max) Steffen, Ronald (Angie) Cochran, and Robert (Trena) Cochran; 10 grandchildren, Becky (Matt) Hill, Chad (Karie) Winter, Brian (Susan) Cochran, Maxwell (Jessica) Steffen, Richard (Alana) Steffen, Andy (Melissa) Winter, Nick (Rachel) Kulas, Ashley Cochran, Cody Cochran, Joel Cochran; 21 great-grandchildren; her sister, Amy Cisco; and many nieces and nephews. She is proceeded in death by her parents, Howard and Vena Lemons; siblings Richard, Robert, Donald, James, Dallas Lemons, and Mary Snyder. Ruth graduated from Hudson High School and went to Jackson Business College and obtained her Associate Business Degree. She was a homemaker and taught pottery and ceramic classes.  An avid quilter, enjoyed spending time at the lake with family and friends, and their winter’s at Ramblers Rest Resort in Venice, FL with their friends. Ruth lived her life by her high school yearbook quote,” What harm in pure fun, so long as I’m good.” According to her request, cremation has taken place.  A private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Clark Lake Spirt Foundation, PO Box 224, Clarklake, MI 49234.
