Ronald James Coplin, age 76, of Jackson, Michigan passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2026.
He was born on March 12, 1950, in Jackson, Michigan to James and Deloris (Bullis) Coplin, who both preceded him in death.
Ronald graduated from Napoleon High School in 1968 and continued his education at Jackson Community College. He then served in the United States Air Force from 1968 to 1971, including service in Thailand, where he was proud to serve alongside his good buddies Ray Smeltzer, Joe Schwartz, and many others.
He is survived by his wife, Loretta (Palmer) Coplin, with whom he shared 40 wonderful years of marriage; his children, Steve Coplin, Mike Coplin, David Coplin, Nicole (Coplin) Jenks; his stepson, Jeremiah Housler; 10 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
Ronald enjoyed riding his motorcycle, woodburning, creating items from bamboo, and building model airplanes and cars. He especially loved watching birds.
A Celebration of his Life will be announced at a later date.
