Roger J. Rampy

Roger J. Rampy of Florida (formerly of Jackson, MI), went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at the age of 81. He was the son of Jack and Ruby Rampy, born November 6, 1940 in Marshall, MI. Roger is survived by his partner, Brenda Henwood; one son, Sidney (Jeanne) Rampy; brothers and sisters, Nancy (Larry) Bayer, Melinda (Lenny) Lewis, Caroline (Ron) VanMarter, Doug (Mary Jane) Rampy; grandchildren, Dustin Rampy, and Morgan (Caleb) Grogan; and beloved great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister and brother-in-law, Rena (Gil) Longo. Roger was a graduate of Parma High School. Following high school, he served his country honorably in the United States Navy. After his service, he was Jackson businessman owning and operating Rampy Construction. Roger retired to Florida, where he was an avid antique collector, and worked on watches. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and horses. Roger loved to spend time with his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A celebration of his life will be held at the Watson Funeral Chapel in Jackson on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at 11:00am with Pastor Andrew Walker officiating. Interment at Roseland Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Encounter Church, 620 Robinson Road, Jackson, MI 49203.
