Roberta Lynn Miller (Aka)  "Sammie or Bird-dawg" passed away in Jackson, MI on August 21, 2025 after her second battle with Cancer.  She went peacefully taken care of every step of the way by her loving niece, nephews and with family at her side every minute.

Sammie was born in Jackson Mi to Blanch (Norment) and James (Jim) Peavy.

She completed some high school and got married in the 1980's to Wesley Miller whom she loved with her whole heart. Their marriage was ended with a sudden accident in which she lost her loving husband and became a widow.

Sammie was a babysitter a tree trimmer and also a dancer before she became disabled & loved to travel spend time with family and friends, arts and crafts' coloring and making sure she told everyone how she felt so she could be her happiest self.

Sam held the Harmony Baptist Church close to her heart as her fondest memories as a child were there with her brother and sisters.

Sammie's Spouse was Wesley Miller.  In her early 30s she received custody of a daughter Ashley that she loved dearly who went on to marry her nephew Jimmie, and has two Nieces Charlene and Karlene, her loving sister, Tessia Peavy. She had many great nieces and nephews Lilly, Devon, Christian, Tayla, Selida, Steven, Aliyah, Alana, and Jeffery. She is also survived by her mother-in-law Mom Miller, and John and Janice Moran.

Sammie is now resting with her loving mother and father, Blanch and James Peavy, her father-in-law, Dad Miller, her brother and sister Jeff and Phyllis Peavy, her niece Shiloh Peavy and her great niece, Hope Destiney Love.

In our hearts she will always be the sunshine of the day and love of many that shall never be forgotten. For she was the best we could ever ask to have.

We will always celebrate her with the love and laughter as family and friends should. May she rest in peace knowing how loved she will always be.
