Robert Duane Wagner

Of Eaton Rapids, Michigan passed away at his home on Saturday, March 21, 2020 at the age of 72 under the loving care of Rob and Jessica. Robert was the son of Clayton R. Wagner and Leola M. (Wilfred) Lather, born June 19, 1947 in Jackson, Michigan. He is survived by his son, Rob Wagner and Jessica Ash; three grandchildren, Robert I, Bethany and Addison Wagner; five brothers, Roy Wagner, Robin (Jody) Wagner, Ronald Wagner, James (Wanda) Whitaker and Kirk Whitaker; sister, Sharon Christnovich; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Robert was preceded in death by his parents; sillborn son, Clayton Wagner; several aunts and uncles. Robert graduated from Western High School. He served his country in the United States Army. He then graduated with his Bachelor and Master degrees from University of Michigan in Automotive Engineering. His working career included The Environmental Protection Agency, then retiring from General Motors Corporation as an Automotive Engineer. Robert enjoyed fishing, golfing and restoring classic cars. Due to Covid19 Virus a private family service will be held at the Watson Funeral Chapel in Jackson on Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at 11:00am, Pastor Richard Griffith officiating, interment following in Fairview Cemetery in Parma.
