Robert “Bob” Dean Henley of Litchfield, MI, passed away at his home on Monday, October 26, 2020 at the age of 57. Bob was the son of Haskell Robert and Mary Henley born June 22, 1963 in Jackson, MI. He is survived by his two sons, Robert “Rob” and Michael Henley and their mother Susan Bostwick; his mother, Mary Henley; two sisters, Debbie (Patrick) Hein and Teresa (Jason) Dukes; brother, Doug Henley; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Bob was preceded in death by his father.
He was a graduate of Grass Lake High School. Bob served his country in the United States Navy on the USS Independence and The National Guard after the Navy. He started his working career as a machinist at Melling Tool, then S&A Products, and finishing at Concord Manufacturing. Bob dearly loved spending time with his boys, family and his animals. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching hummingbirds. Bob was a wonderful handyman who could fix anything and enjoyed working on projects for everyone. According to his wish cremation has taken place.
The family will receive friends at the Watson Funeral Chapel in Jackson on Sunday, November 1, 2020 from 2:00pm – 6:00pm. Memorial contributions in memorial of Bob may be made to the U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service 2651 Coolidge Road, Suite 101, East Lansing, Michigan 48823.
