Of Jackson, Michigan, passed away at home on Wednesday, April 1, 2020, at the age of 92. Bob was a lifelong resident of Jackson. He was born in Jackson on September 23, 1927, to Sidney and Ruth Walker. He graduated from Jackson High School in 1945. He served in the US Army during WW II in the Philippines and Okinawa. In 1950 he earned his BBA from the University Of Michigan – School of Business Administration in Ann Arbor. After college he moved to the Birmingham, MI area for work. On November 27, 1954, he married Joan Marie Edwards at Christ Church Cranbrook in Bloomfield Hills, MI. They moved back to Jackson in 1956, where Bob joined his father at the Knickerbocker Company, and worked there until he retired in 1987. He was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church for many years. Bob is survived by his son William (Robin) of Jackson; daughter Sally of Seattle, WA; grandson Reed Walker of Boise, ID; granddaughter Anna Connelly (Mike) of Washington, DC; granddaughter Elizabeth Krenkel of Ames, IA; granddaughter Sigrid Wilson of Australia; step-granddaughter Erin Rodabaugh of Pittsburgh, PA, and her sons Liam and Aden. He was preceded in death by his wife (Joan), sister (Elizabeth Daniels), stepsister (Joyce Craske), stepsister (Jeanne Johnson), stepmother (Mary), and son (Robert Sidney). Family service only at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church or charity of choice.
