Robert “Bob” Dean Hangartner, Age 90, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Monday, April 7th, 2025. He was the son of Marguerite and Charles Hangartner. Robert was born on March 4, 1935 in DuBois Pennsylvania. He is survived by his life partner of over 40 years, Florence Osborne. Their three sons, Terry (Jeri) Osborne, Tracy (Bridget) Osborne, and Ronald Osborne Jr; Four Grandchildren, JesAnne (Brandon) Samons, Hillary (Robert) Chu, Melissa Osborne (Fiancé Mitchell Barrett), and Eric Osborne (Maddie Boggs); two great grandchildren, Emerson and Weston Samons.
Bob graduated from DuBois High and then honorably served four years in the Navy. He then went back to school and graduated from the University of Miami with a degree in Accounting. He spent his remaining career in accounting. Bob was a member of the Elks, enjoyed Golf and had a lifetime love of learning. He loved spending time with his grandkids at the library and playing mini-golf.
According to his request, Bob has been cremated and a celebration of life will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the local VA or Heart to Heart Hospice.
