Robert William Curl

Robert William Curl passed away on Saturday May 14th 2022 peacefully at his home in Jackson, MI, surrounded by those he loved after a long health battle.  He was born on October 21st, 1957 at Foote Hospital in Jackson Michigan to Cliff and Geraldine Curl. Affectionately known as Bob or Bobby to those close to him, he was famous for his infectious laugh that could turn heads and bring people together. He always has a smile on his face and a joke on his lips.

Bob found great happiness in traveling. He had many favorite spots that he liked to visit regularly. Some of his favorites were Mackinaw, Myrtle Beach, Hawaii, and Spring Training down in Lakeland, Florida. Bob never went anywhere without making friends and sharing his love of laughter.

Bob graduated from Parkside High School and continued his studies earning him a Journeyman’s Card. He was a long-time machinist and took great pride in doing work he loved. He has been married to Penny since 1995, who survives him. Bob is also survived by daughters Olivia and Katherine (Jim); grandchildren Isla and Liam; as well as brothers and sisters: Bill (Bertha), Linda, and Elaine. Bob was predeceased by parents Cliff and Geraldine and sister Carolyn. Special mention to cousin Rob (Margie). 

Bob fiercely loved his family and enjoyed every minute he had to spend with them. He had such joy in watching his special people, Isla and Liam and wanted them around as much as possible. He loved his animals and enjoyed having Bella and the late Zeus by his side.
