Robert Andrew Burritt of Parma went to be with the Lord on January 14th after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Rob was born to Margaret and Robert Burritt on May 1, 1970. He graduated from Haslett High School in 1988 and received a Bachelor of Applied Science in Accounting from Davenport University. Rob met his wife Deana in Tucson, Arizona and they were married on March 12, 1999, “almost” 25 years. After the wedding, Rob and Deana lived in Oklahoma where Rob became the father to his beloved son, Jared. Rob and his family moved back to Michigan in 2003 where he enjoyed hiking, going to the lake, hunting, playing guitar and being a member of the Parma Outdoor Club. He spent most of his career in Professional Services for various software companies. His last being BS&A Software where he was the Director of Implementation and Training. Rob loved his teammates and especially loved mentoring those just starting their careers. Through his work he was able to travel across the United States, Central America and Great Britain. Rob was baptized as a baby. He renewed his relationship with the Lord when he was baptized with his son on November 5, 2022.
Rob is survived by his wife Deana and son Jared of Parma; his dad and stepmom, Robert and Margaret Burritt of Jackson; his mom Margaret Booth of Lansing; his sister Anne (John) Erickson of Jackson; his stepbrothers Mark Benton of Jackson and Jeff Benton of Kalamazoo; his mother-in-law Ruth Ann Barron of Taloga, Oklahoma and his sisters-in-law Dawn Webber of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Debbie (Randy) Blacklock of Jenks, Oklahoma; his nephews Joe, Matt, Andrew and Daniel Webber, London Terrian and George Purosky. He is preceded in death by his father-in-law Daniel Barron; his paternal grandparents Robert and Kathleen Burritt and maternal grandparents David and Elizabeth Booth.
