Robert Marion Brown

Robert Marion Brown, 89 of Spring Arbor went home to be with the Lord at Henry Ford Allegiance Hospital in Jackson Wednesday, August 7, 2019. Mr. Brown was the son of Ezra and Bertha Brown born June 2, 1930 in Cambria, Michigan. Robert was preceded in death by his loving wife, Betty; his parents; sister, Janette Brown. He is survived by his four children, Robert (Vicki) Brown, Rita (Alan) Fleshman, Thomas (Nancy) Brown, and Lisa (Bob) Charbonneau; six grandchildren, Kelly (Melissa) Hull, Cory Brown, Audra Fleshman, Meredith (Aaron) Simerick, Kyle (Amy) Brown, and Kacy Brown; eight great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Robert was a graduate of Camden Frontier High School and attended Michigan State University. He served his country in the United States Army, stationed in Vienna, Austria during the Korean War. Robert was a member of Arbor Grove Congregational Church and Masonic Lodge #50 of Jackson.  He was also a member of the American Legion Post #360 in Reading, Michigan.  He was a life-long barber at West Point and his home. Robert retired after 17 years of service as a truck driver for Jackson County Road Commission. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, boating, water skiing, splitting wood, camping, and coffee hour at the Wooden Spoon.  

A celebration of his life will be held at Watson Funeral Chapel in Jackson on Thursday August 15, 2019 at 11:00am, Reverend Jerry Turner officiating, interment Spring Arbor Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Cascades Humane Society 1515 Carmen Drive, Jackson, Michigan 49202.  

Visitation Wednesday from 2:00 – 4:00 & 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. and Thursday 10:00am until the time of service at 11:00am.
