Rex Onis Cure, Age 69, of Parma, passed away on January 2, 2026 at home surrounded by his loving family and friends after a brief battle with Lymphoma.
He was born August 4, 1956 to Melvin and Lois (Hills) Cure at Madigan Army Medial Center in Tacoma, Washington.
Rex was a 1974 Vandercook Lake High School Graduate and married Joan (Milligan) Cure on August 1, 1981 who passed away on January 4, 2010 after 28 years of marriage.
He worked at William Reichenbach Co. as a carpenter and a foreman from October 1990 until July 30, 2020.
Rex loved exploring the Upper Peninsula with his dog, hunting, fishing, carpentry, mining, and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his two daughters, Erin Cure and Stacy (Chad) Trumble; four grandsons, Ryder, Beau, Owen, and Leo; his mother, Lois (Hills) Cure; three brothers, Tom (Wanda); Melvin (Chari) and Jack (Tracey); along with several nieces and nephews.
Rex is preceded in death by his wife, Joan and father Melvin.
Visitation will be held on January 26, 2026 from 10:00am until the time of service at 11:00am at Watson Funeral Chapel – 2590 Spring Arbor Road, Jackson, Michigan with Melvin Cure and Dr. Mary Beth and Bob Skupien, Officiating. There will be a luncheon following the Service at Tompkins Town Hall.
