Raymond Russell Obituary

Raymond Lee Russell, age 81, passed away Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at Henry Ford Allegiance Health.  He was the son of James Raymond Russell and June Sarah Carter, born on November 18, 1940 in Toledo, Ohio.  Ray is survived by his cherished wife Sarah (James) Russell of 60 years; two children, Patrick (Bethany) Russell of Tecumseh and Kristine (Russell) Johnson of Jackson; three granddaughters Ashley, Kailey and Mackenzie, one great-grandson Theo; one brother David Russell Sr, one sister Patricia Schultz and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.  Aside from his parents he is preceded in death by his brother Gary Lee (Diane) Russell, sister Barbara (Don) Schermbeck and son-in-law Brad Johnson.

Ray graduated from Libbey High School followed by joining the United States Marine Corps at the age of 18, where he proudly served his country for four years.  He later moved to Michigan where he became an avid salesman.  He then retired as a maintenance man from Boysville of Michigan with his beloved wife.  He was a cherished father, husband, brother, grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend to many.  Pa will be greatly missed.  According to his request, cremation has taken place.  A Celebration of Life will not be taking place at this time.
