Raymond Gregory

Raymond Michael Gregory 90, of Jackson, MI passed away peacefully at home on Monday, January 26, 2026.

Raymond was the son of Archie Gregory and Marcelle Nixon (Dunlap), born September 25, 1935.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Billie Jo (Cook), children, Tracy Tuthill (Kevin Burnett), Micki (Jeff) Vancalbergh and Jeff (Pam) Gregory, grandsons, Justin (Rachel Garrett) Tuthill, Brandon Tuthill, Brent (Nikita) Tuthill, Nathan Moss, Jacob (Karley) Vancalbergh , Cameron (Kortney) Vancalbergh, Matthew (Shelby) Gregory, and Evan Gregory.

Great grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Teegan, Brady, Addylan, Braxton, Liam, Charlotte, Julian, Issac, Michael, Maddox, Logan, Camilla and Carden with 1 expected in June and several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents, brothers Edwin Dunlap, Robert and Duane Gregory, sister Marcelene Gregory, sisters in law Marguerite Dunlap and Joannie Gregory and great granddaughter Lily Moss.

Ray worked as a machinist at Teer Wickwire/Simpson’s for over 40 years. He enjoyed bowling, playing euchre, western shows, gardening, Christmas with the family, bird watching, listening to music and dancing at weddings. He loved spending time at their place in Saugatuck, cheering for the Tigers and Lions, but most of all he cherished time spent with his grandchildren. For his 80th birthday everyone surprised him with a party where his entire family were wearing shirts that said, “Everybody Loves Raymond.” The shirts that were worn that day says it all.

Visitation honoring Raymond will be held on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 from 10:00am until the time of service at Watson Funeral Chapel – 2590 Spring Arbor Road, Jackson.  Memorial service will begin at 11:00am with Michael D. Mason, Officiating.
