Of Jackson, Michigan passed away on Friday, January 1, 2021 at Highland Assisted Living in Jackson at the age of 92. Phyllis was the daughter of George Ernest and Frances Cordelia (Weber) Criner born March 28, 1928 in Jackson, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years Robert D. McClain; her parents; two brothers and two sisters. Phyllis is survived by two children, Kevin (Irene) McClain and Nancy (Mark) Sullivan; three granddaughters, Nichole (Eric) Evans, Brandy (Ron) Ball and Kari (Jeremy) Vinson; 9 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins; special friend, Mary Gillett. Phyllis was a Parma High School graduate. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend who enjoyed spending time with her family and being a homemaker to them. She also enjoyed crocheting, play the organ, singing and eating ice cream out of the container. A celebration of her life will be held at Watson Funeral Chapel in Jackson on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at 11:00am with Michael D. Mason officiating. Interment following at Roseland Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Highland Assisted Living & Memory Care 1948 Cooper Street, Jackson, Michigan 49202 or Charity of Choice. Due to Covid-19 restrictions attendance of 25 people and all must wear a mask.
