Phyllis Jeane Elder

Phyllis Jeane Elder, age 90, of Jackson, passed away at Henry Ford Hospice Home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, March 19, 2025. 

Phyllis was born in Jackson, Michigan, the daughter of Earl and Mary (Taylor) Pelton. She is survived by her children, Cindy (Jeff) Bladen, Jerry (Patty) Green, and David Elder, Jr; Grandchildren, Merry Hodges, Brian Bladen, Donnie Bladen, Cassie Smith, Matthew Elder, and Quinn Elder; Eight Great-Grandchildren; her brother, Paul (Alberta) Truax; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Mary (Taylor) Pelton; several brothers and sisters, nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

Phyllis was not only a Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother, she worked for over 45 years, most of which was as a nursing aide, and ultimately retired as a bookkeeper. 

Per her families wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of her Life will take place at a later date.
