Phillip L. Dawson Jr.

Age 50 passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2023 in Jackson, MI.  He was the son of Phillip L. and Charla Ann (Emery) Dawson born on April 11, 1973 in Lexington, KY.  He is survived by his children, Phillip L. Dawson III “Trip” and Charla Rose Dawson “Rosie,” his sister Alicia Suzanne Dawson; nephews Jadon and Benjamin Wesselman; nieces Jocelyn and Alaina Martindale. He was preceded in death by his parents.  Phillip graduated from Lumen Christi High School Class of 1991. He owned and operated the long time family owned business Dorothy Dawson Foods until his retirement in 2020. He enjoyed boating, golfing, gardening, traveling and spending time with his children, his nephews and his nieces.

There will be a celebration of his life on Thursday, May 25, 2023 at 12pm at Watson Funeral Chapel, 2590 Spring Arbor Road, Jackson, MI with Father Charles Canoy officiating.  Interment will follow at St. John Catholic Cemetery.   There will be visitation at Watson Funeral Chapel from 11am until the time of service.
