Peter John Wiegman of Jackson, MI went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at the age of 70. He was the son of Jack and Joan Wiegman, born September 24, 1953 in Toledo, Ohio. Peter is survived by his sister, Susan (Woody) Bowman; niece Alisia (Lucas) Bowman, nephew, Enrique Bowman, and many loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Peter was a Class of 1971 graduate of Parkside High School and a 1975 graduate of Ferris State University with a Bachelor’s Degree of Criminal Justice. Following his education, he served his country honorably in the United States Army and was a Sergeant Major in the Army Reserves until his retirement. After his service, he was a Probation Officer for Jackson County and served various security positions. Peter enjoyed watching hockey games, especially the Detroit Red Wings and the Grand Rapids Griffins, and was a member of the NRA. He enjoyed spending time with his family. Peter will be greatly missed by all who knew him. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place. A private interment will take place at Fort Custer National Cemetery at a later date.
