Peggie Louise Anderson (Dunlap) of Jackson, Michigan went to be with The Lord on July 20, 2026.
Peggie was born July 23, 1946 to Henry J. and Rosabell L. (Rockwell) Dunlap.
She was preceded in her death by her parents, her brother, Charles A. Dunlap, her half-brother Jack Dunlap, her brothers-in-law Robert Anderson, John Anderson, and Richard Anderson, sister-in-law Beverly Anderson, and nephew, Jamie Lewis as well as the love of her life Edward W. Anderson. She married her “Eddie” on July 30, 1966 and they were married just short of 57 years when he passed away in 2023.
Peggie was a graduate of Parkside High School. She worked at Woolworth’s as a clerical associate for a few years until it closed. She then started her long tenure as the administrative assistant at Cascades Wesleyan Church, working under multiple pastors including longtime family friend Rodney Skinner. Peggie enjoyed making annual trips to Florida to visit her lifelong best friend Jean Chaffin, working on puzzles, playing cards, and reading her mystery novels. Peggie had a beautiful voice and loved singing solos in church as well as duets with her mother when she was younger.
Peggie is survived by her half-sister Phyllis Bostwick, nieces Lesley (Robb) Selfe, Lisa (John) Powell, and Laurie (Dean) Archer, and great nieces Grayson and Kayelyn Powell, great nephews Luke and Adrian Selfe, and Lincoln, Cole, Knox, and Jett Archer. On the Anderson side of the family, she is survived by her sister-in-law Patricia Lewis, brother-in-law Jerry Anderson, nieces Cindy Denig and Penny (Preston) Judd, nephews Edward Anderson, II and Brian Anderson, numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews and great-great nieces and great-great nephews. She also will be greatly missed by special family friends Rodney and Debi Skinner and their children Malia and Camden.
Her toy poodles Bellamee and Adrianna were the center of her world and will miss her every day.
A celebration of her life will be held at Watson Funeral Chapel, 2590 Spring Arbor Rd. Jackson, MI 49203,
on Saturday, July 25. Visitation will be from 11 am to 1 pm, with the service at 1 pm. Interment will follow the service at Hillcrest Memorial Park, 1425 N. Elm Ave. Jackson, MI 49202.
