Pedro M. Valdez II, (“Pete”) age 80, of Jackson, Michigan, passed away peacefully on a Friday afternoon, September 12, 2025.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, M. Gloria; their five children, Glorianna, Jorge, Pedro III, Angela, and Nicholas; nine grandchildren; Corey, Mercedes, Pedro IV, Kayla, Roberto, Gabrielle, Larissa, Kallie, Ezra! Pete was a proud veteran and a man of many passions. He especially loved classic cars and trucks, and he instilled in his children the importance of hard work, appreciation, and caring for what we are blessed with in life. He had a deep love of music, especially Tejano music, through which he expressed his joy and love for his family. His music and spirit created a lifetime of cherished memories.
From his gentle laughter and humor to the warmth he shared with family and friends, Pete’s presence was both an honor and a joy, and his kind soul was a blessing to all who knew him. He was a devoted husband, the best father we could have ever hoped for, and the truest friend anyone could have. His family is forever grateful for the countless blessings he gave, and his memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
He is now reunited with his parents, Pedro and Ramona Valdez Sr.; brothers Art, Paul, Al, and Tony; and sisters Aurora and Mona.
Pete was our hero in so many ways. We will treasure his love, his lessons, and the countless memories he left behind.
