Pauline Lillian Loud, 94, of Spring Arbor, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, January 4 at Henry Ford Hospital.
Pauline was born October 20, 1929 in Lima Center, Michigan to Elmer and Eva (Leslie) Schiller.
Pauline is survived by her children, Marlene K. Hedgspeth, Nancy E. (Steve) Solsberg, Fred J. Loud, Richard K. Loud, Karen A. Loud and Susan M. Cruthers; 12 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren; her sister Donna Schiller, sister-in-law Aletta Loud and family friend Terri Reeves.
Pauline was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Loud and celebrated 70 years of marriage in 2020; her father Elmer F. Schiller, her mother Eva M. Schiller; brothers Oramel and Marvin Schiller; and grandson Jason Hedgspeth.
Pauline was a member of the Spring Arbor Extension Club; she was active in Girl Scouts for many years with each of her daughters and helped with Cub Scouts for her sons. She was an avid bowler for many years and a member of the Model A Club. She enjoyed doing craft/craft shows with her daughters and made her first quilt with them in 2002. The coffee pot was always on.
But mostly, Pauline was a loving wife and mother. She was a stay-at-home Mom who had the patience of a saint.
A celebration of her life will be held at the Watson Funeral Chapel in Jackson on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at 11:00am with Pastor Wes Emerson officiating. A private interment will take place a Spring Arbor Cemetery. Memorial gifts may be given to Spring Arbor Fire Department, 111 E. Main Street, Spring Arbor, MI 49283 or Spring Arbor Boy Scout Troop #144, 9843 Spring Arbor Road, Spring Arbor, MI 49283.
The family will receive friends from 10:00am until the time of service at 11:00am.
