Age 81, of Spring Arbor, MI went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday evening September 19, 2023 after eating his supper. He passed during the ambulance ride. Paul was born in Pigeon, MI on May 25, 1942, to Edward and Ortha (Melich) Geiger. He is survived by his wife of nearly 16 years, Carol (Leffingwell) Geiger; his three children, Todd (Vickie) Geiger, Troy (Carole) Geiger, and Tonya (Gary) Baxter; six grandchildren; four step-daughters, Cyndie (Lowell) Beaney, Susan (Brent) Milligan, Sara (Mike) Archer, and Carrie (Devin Reale) Leffingwell; eight step-grandchildren; eight step-great-grandchildren. Paul attended Asbury University for 2 years, then transferred to MSU to graduate with a degree in accounting. After graduation, he accepted a position with Consumers Power Co. in Jackson. He worked hard and ended his career as a VP and CFO in the company. He retired in 1997 and began traveling with his late wife, Connie, in a motor home. Paul was very active in his church Trinity Wesleyan in Jackson for many years.
Paul was preceded in death by his wife Connie; son, Paul Jr., his parents; two brothers, Ron and Ross; three sisters, Pauline, Jeanette, and Shirley. Paul is also survived by two brothers, Ken and Keith; one sister, Beverly; plus a large number of nieces and nephews. He loved his family and extended family actively; following all their various ball games, dance recitals, choir and band recitals, and church activities. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A celebration of his life will be held at the Watson Funeral Chapel in Jackson on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at 2:00pm.
