Patricia Marie Ripley

Patricia “Patt” Marie Ripley of Pleasant Lake, age 86, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's on Thursday, December 18, 2025 in her home at Arbor North Assisted Living. She was born on May 6, 1939 in Jackson, Michigan to the late Sherman and Bernadine Parr. 

Patricia is survived by her two children Kellie (Patrick) Ludwig, and Kipp (Stephanie) Ripley; six grandchildren, Emily (Jeff) Kinney, Cortney (Caleb) Forner, Casey (Lauren) Ludwig, Jennifer Ripley, Jodi Ripley, and Jake Ripley; eleven great-grandchildren, Stella, Lincoln, Peyton, Luke, William, Adalynn, Madison, Jordyn, Barrett, Kinsley, and Remi; sisters MaryAnn Crawford, Sharon (Bob) Napier, Denise VanAntwerp; brother Dan Parr; and numerous special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband of 47 years, David Ripley; and sister Jan Jones.

Patricia retired from Consumers Power after many dedicated years as an executive administrative assistant. Family was her greatest joy, and she proudly hosted holiday gatherings with unmatched love and organization. She loved traveling to Florida, spending time on the beach surrounded by good friends and good music. Other pastimes included testing her luck at the casino, showing off her bowling skills, and playing spirited games of tiles with her mom and sisters, where she was known to be fiercely competitive and may have bent the rules once or twice. She was also a proud laundry connoisseur, famously knowing the secret to keeping whites perfectly white and crisp. Above all, her love for her family defined her, and her loss will be felt deeply. According to her wishes, cremation has taken place. 

A celebration of Patricia’s life will be held at JaxNaz Church, 3905 Clinton Road in Jackson on Tuesday, December 30 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Crystel Watts officiating. A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
