Patricia L Kemp

Patricia L Kemp, 88, of Jackson, MI went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, September 17th, 2025. She was surrounded by her loving family.

Pat was born July 18, 1937 in Jackson, MI., the daughter of Wilber & Vivian (Whiting) Adamson.

On June 25, 1955 she married Dale D Kemp. Together, for 70 years, they built a beautiful life; rooted in faith, family, and unconditional love.

Pat was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, and doting GREAT-grandmother.

Pat dedicated herself to the youth, by spending 15 years in Jackson Public Schools. She nurtured and inspired a generation of Jackson students and faculty alike, with her presence in the Food Services.

As a faithful member of Vandercook Baptist Church, she served the children's ministry teaching Sunday school, and Vacation Bible School. As well as volunteered in the church office. She made lifelong friends and lasting memories at Vandercook Baptist Church.

Pat will be remembered for her unwavering strength, and vibrant spirit. She was happiest when she was surrounded by family and friends. She had an uncanny ability to make friends wherever she went, and never met a stranger.

Pat is survived by her lifelong “boyfriend” Dale D Kemp, their 3 children Debra (David) St Arnaud of Jackson; Pamela (Kent) Girton of Olathe, KS; and Dale (Courtney Thomas) Kemp II of Rockford, MI.; her seven grandchildren, whom she loved dearly, Kristina (James) Bengala; Joshua Gahagan; Sara (David) Bergh; Michael (Kelli) Kuzmich; Ashley (Bryan) Wilson; Andrew (Leanne) Kemp; and Alex (Amanda) Kemp, along with her 12 GREAT grandchildren who brought her much joy, and her daughter in law Kathy Kemp

Preceding her in death are her parents, Wilburn & Vivian Adamson; her siblings, Robert Adamson; Beverly Guajardo; Bill Adamson; and her beloved in-laws, Harry & Fern Kemp.

The family would like to thank the staff at Cascade Senior Care Center for the compassionate care given to Pat, as well as her family. You hold a special place in our hearts.

There will be a Memorial Service on October 18, 2025 beginning at 2:00pm at Vandercook Baptist Church – 703 East McDevitt Avenue – Jackson, with Pastor Kyle Vegter, Officiating. Inurnment will be held at Roseland Memorial Gardens on October 17, 2025 beginning at 2:00pm.
