Patricia Ann Drzewiecki

Patricia Ann Drzewiecki passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at the age of 78 at the Henry Ford Hospice Home in Jackson, Michigan.

Patti was born October 9, 1945, in Brush, Colorado to the late Edwin and Lydia (Reichert) Friehauf. As a child, Patti attended Fairview Grade School which she proudly likened to the one-room schoolhouse in Little House on the Prairie. She graduated from Brush High School in 1963 and always remained proud of her Beetdigger roots. She went on to attend Colorado State University in Fort Collins.

On March 8, 1969, Patti was united in marriage to Jerome Drzewiecki. Together, they settled in Michigan where they would build their life and their 55 years of marriage together.

Patti dedicated nearly a decade of her career working as a secretary at Dow Chemical Company in Midland before starting a family and shifting to the roles of mother and homemaker. In her youth, Patti delighted in playing the organ at the Immanual Congregational Church in Brush and accompanying her father’s quartet. As an adult, she was an avid bowler for many years and enjoyed making beautiful cross stitch pictures for family and friends. She always loved baking; she was especially fond of German family recipes and trying new recipes. More recently, she found pleasure in making suncatchers in her spare time and relaxing at their cottage at Houghton Lake.

Patti is survived by her husband, Jerry; daughter, Amy (Joel) Schmidt; beloved grandson, Zachary; brother, Robert; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers: Edwin, Clyde, and Stanley.

Please join us for a Celebration of Life on Friday, July 12th at Watson Funeral Chapel, 2590 Spring Arbor Road in Jackson, Michigan with visitation from 10:30 to noon and with the service at noon.
