Oliver Zuniga

Oliver Reul Zuniga, age 3, of Jackson, Michigan, passed away on January 9, surrounded by the people who loved him most.

Oliver was born on November 4, 2022, at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan, to me, Abby Smith, and his Dad, Eliseo Zuniga III. From the moment he entered this world, he changed our lives forever in the best ways possible.

Oliver loved Paw Patrol and dancing with me and sissy—those moments brought him so much joy and brought so much light into our home. He was baptized at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Church, a moment that will always be close to our hearts.

He was my son, my heart, and my greatest love. He was deeply loved by his daddy, Eliseo Zuniga, and was a cherished brother to Hayden Zuniga. Oliver was also a beloved cousin to Preston Parr, and a precious nephew to Katie Parr, Nikki Smith, Eric Parr, Gabriella Zuniga, and Adan Zuniga.

He was the adored grandson of Jeff Smith, Shannon Smith, and Eliseo Zuniga II, and the treasured great-grandson of Fred Smith, Diane Smith, Joan Russ, Josefina Zuniga-Vazquez, and Eliseo Zuniga I.

Though Oliver’s life was far too short, the love he gave and received will last forever. He will always be a part of us, and he will always be so deeply loved.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 14, 2026 from 4:00–6:00 p.m. at Watson Funeral Chapel 2590 Spring Arbor Road, Jackson.  Funeral services will be held at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Church – 1111 Carlton Blvd., Jackson, on Friday, January 23, 2026 at 11:00am, with Rick Freedberg officiating.

Forever loved. Forever missed.
