Norman Gerald Rutkowski, Age 82, passed away on March 21, 2026.
He was born on March 8, 1944 in Jackson, Michigan to Constantine “Conny” and Wanda (Wasielewski) Rutkowski.
Norman was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School, Jackson Michigan and attended Jackson College following his graduation. He then joined the United States Air Force from 1963 through 1967 serving in Marquette, Michigan.
Norman was united in marriage to Patricia Ann (Vagrosky) on November 13, 1971 in Lorrain, Ohio. They were married for 54 years until his passing on March 21, 2026. Together, they had two children, David and Kathy.
Norman served on the City of Jackson Police Force for 21 years, from October 1967 through October 1988.
He enjoyed doing word-search puzzles, reading the newspaper and watching television shows.
Patricia and Norman attended Queen of the Miraculous Medal Church in Jackson for several years.
Norman is survived by his wife, Patricia, his daughter Kathy, and son David; along with his brothers, Eugene, Ronald, and Robert.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Constantine “Conny” and Wanda (Wasielewski) Rutkowski.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 from 10:00am until the time of service at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Church – 1111 Carlton Blvd., Jackson, Michigan with service beginning at 11:00am with Father Timothy MacDonald, presiding.
