Nancy L. Hopkins, Age 89, of Spring Arbor, Michigan, passed away at home on June 30, 2025.
She was the daughter of Charles and Marian VanAkin, born on March 7, 1936 in Jackson, Michigan.
Nancy is survived by her husband of 70 years, Gerald Hopkins; children, Dave Hopkins (Julie); Doug Hopkins (Theresa), Sharon Hazard (Scott); Grandchildren, David Hopkins (Jen), Scott Hopkins (Stacey), Lindsey Anderson (John), Jacob Hopkins (Cassandra), Danielle Rooney (Patrick), Ben Hazard, Ryan Hopkins, and Rachelle Hopkins. Seven Great-Granchildren, and one due in August; Sister, Margene Osterberg.
Nancy is preceded in death by her son, Steve Hopkins and parents, Charles and Marian VanAkin.
She was a graduate of Parma High School and worked as a secretary at Parma Elementary until she retired after more than 20 years of service.
Nancy enjoyed her family and friends, vacationing in northern Michigan, shopping, decorating, Christmas, candles, and purses.
A Celebration of her life will be held Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at Watson Funeral Chapel – 2590 Spring Arbor Road, Jackson. Visitation will be held from 10:00am until the time of service at 11:00am. Pastor Sara Cogsil will be officiating.
