Nancy Lee (Chaffee) Boland-Dawson

Nancy L. Boland-Dawson passed away on October 2, 2021.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas H. (Pat) and Helen M. Chaffee and her husband, Phillip L. Dawson Sr.  She is survived by her beloved daughter, Kristin K. Mason and Son-in-Law, Robert Todd Mason.  She is further survived by her sisters: Linda L. (Larry) Flannery, Susan A. Syrek, Patricia K. Herr, Debra K. (James) Dedrick, Penny M. (Dan) McDonald, and Michelle Chambers (Brian Blair), plus much-loved nieces, nephews, their wonderful spouses, sweet little great nieces and nephews, and of course, her darlings…Willow, Delilah and Cheetos.  She also cared deeply for many special friends (most particularly, Mary Shearer and Jackie Killian), many great neighbors and so many helpful individuals.

Nancy attended Jackson High School and Jackson College and worked her entire career at National Bank of Jackson/Comerica Bank, retiring from the Commercial Lending Division as a Corporate Banking Officer.  Over the years, she was a member of, or involved with the Country Club of Jackson, Florence Crittenton Homes for Girls, Hot Air Jubilee, The Child Abuse and Neglect Council, 100 Women Who Care, Best Friends Animal Rescue, Cascades Humane Society, ASPCA, and the Jackson County Animal Shelter.  Nancy loved her family, her home, animals, gardening, shopping, interior design, entertaining, reading and Nature’s beauty.

There will be a private interment has taken place at Woodland Cemetery in Jackson.  By her very specific request, there will be no funeral service or memorial.
