Micheal S. Shong, 48, of Jackson, Michigan lost his battle to mental health on Thursday, March 19, 2026. He was born on May 7, 1977, in Jackson, Michigan to Ted and Cindy (Gladue) Shong.
Micheal graduated from Northwest High School and continued his education at ITT Tech in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He lead a life in sales followed by pouring his heart and soul into an entrepreneurial career as the CEO/Co-Founder of Foam Pros Insulation in 2020, which later rebranded to Specialized Spray Foam in 2024.
He enjoyed being outside, cycling (racing when he was younger), camping, singing, taking care of his tortoise Timmy and bowling on his weekly league. Micheal will always be remembered for his charming smirk, genuine personality, constant sarcasm and always making others feel welcomed.
Micheal will be missed by his parents Ted and Cindy (Gladue) Shong; fiancé Heather Williams; daughters, Claire, Carlie, and Caraline Shong and Mariah Skoney; brothers Nick (Hannah) Shong and Teddy (Jenny) Shong; and his niece and nephews. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Judy and Nelson Shong, André Gladue, and Charlotte & Jack Underwood.
Family and friends will be joined to commemorate Micheal at a celebration of life that will be held at a later date.
