Michael W. Priest

Of Jackson, MI passed away surrounded by family on Sunday, October 31, 2021 at the age of 72. He was the son of Charles and Virginia (Cyphers) Priest, born June 26, 1949 in Jackson, MI. Michael is survived by one daughter, MaKayla (Vijay) Malladi, and one son, Michael (Lindsay) Priest; three special dogs, Toby, Smooch, and Cassie; one brother, Phil “Andy” (Michelle) Priest; sister, Brenda (Walter) Johnson; and brother-in-law, Carrol Fowler. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Margaret Fowler. Michael was a graduate of Jackson High School and attended Michigan State University to pursue an Art Major. Following his schooling, he owned and operated Priest Jewelers in Jackson and Brooklyn. He was also Bus Driver for Concord Schools, and owned and operated Cobblestone Iris Gardens in Jackson where he was a Master Gardener. Michael was an avid MSU Fan, loved animals, woodworking, art, photography, making people laugh, and most of all spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services to be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cascades Humane Society, 1515 Carmen Drive, Jackson, MI 49202.
