Melinda Ann Hawley

Melinda Ann Hawley (Farley) passed away peacefully at home in Jackson, MI on Tuesday December 30, 2025

She was born in Toledo, Ohio on April 21, 1954, to Jack and Fern (Stivison) Farley

She attended Lake High School in Milbury, Ohio, graduating in 1972. She went on to earn an Associate degree from Lansing Community College.

She married her high school sweetheart, Rick Hawley on 04/07/1973 in Walbridge, Ohio. They later moved to Jackson, Michigan and built a life together.

Melinda worked as a Dietician for many years. Eventually operating her own Dietary Consulting Firm, where she would retire from. She had an unwavering love for all things outdoors, especially her horses and dogs. Painting and gardening were her favorite hobbies and therapy for her soul. None of that compares to her love for activities with her Grandkids.

She has been a very active member of Cornerstone Christian Church for over 47 years.

She is survived by her Father Jack Farley;  Husband Rick Hawley; Sons Justin (Toni) and Jeffrey Hawley; Grand Children Makayla, Makynze, Estavon, Andrew, Elijah and Cricket; Great Grandson Cartier; Siblings Pam D’Amato, Greg (Nan) Farley, Melanie Prala, Amanda (Tom) Caldwell, Brett (Cheri) Farley and Molly (Doug) Leader; and an abundance of nieces and nephews

Melinda was preceded in death by her mother, Fern Farley; Brothers, Jeffrey, Kevin and Matthew; her Brother-in-Law Dave Prala; and Sister-in-Law Debbie Hawley.

Services will be held on Friday, January 9, 2026 at Cornerstone Christian Church 2395 W. High St. Jackson, MI 49203.Visitation will be held from 11:00am -1:00pm with her Funeral beginning at 1:00pm
